Free online notes, bookmarks, web-clips, photos, info & more on any device from anywhere

Create, store and easily locate all of your electronic notes, bookmarks, web-page pictures, articles, and more and access anywhere – using Evernote

Never forget your favorite webpages, useful information, photos or thoughts and ideas when you are searching through the Internet. This online app offers web clipping, photo snapping, capturing screenshots and more and will keep all of your information in one location that can be accessed on nearly any device. Everything that you ‘capture’ will be automatically organized and searchable. The apps built-in search feature allows you to easily look through any of your notes and information.  Search through your notes by specifying keywords, titles, and tags.  The app even detects the printed or handwritten text in your images!

The Web-App which is accessible on any Internet connected device (Web clipper) offers the ability to save anything you see on the web. No more bookmarks, tabs, or open windows. See something you like, clip it and the app will save it for you.  Create online notes, copy and paste info and place in a note to access later. Your notes can include text info, links, and you can upload audio, picture and PDF files that do not exceed 25MB. Everything you capture is automatically processed, indexed, and made searchable. Create a to-do list, add notes, add hyperlinks, print out your list, share with others (via an email, on Facebook or through a URL link). You can even send Tweets from this app and share your comments, thoughts or ideas. The app also provides browser-specific add-ons or extensions (Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer) to improve your Internet experience.

Use your mobile phone camera to capture a business card; snap a photo of your plane ticket, confirmation numbers, invoices, and receipts; create a note of important ideas or thoughts; take notes during a meeting and even take a photo of the whiteboard at the end of the meeting to have access to and be able to review later.  Supported and free mobile apps have been created for your iDevices (iPhone, Touch & Pad), Android, BlackBerry, Palms (Pre & Pixi) and Windows Mobile.

You can also select to download a software client (this is not required to utilize this app) for Mac OS X & Windows (no Linux version).  The download client offers the added ability to access all of your online saved content even when offline.  We had to deduct a little because of the No Linux software client and because the free version does not offer an automatic sync to your devices.  However, this is a great app for busy people that are often online searching for and collecting information by offering the ability to easily store all of your info in one location and making it accessible from any of your computers and phones. The Free account offers plenty of storage space (re-calculated monthly) of up to 60MB of allowance which is about 30,000 typed notes, 400 web clips, 610 camera phone pics, 59 audio files and 16 high resolution photos. The app offers paid accounts if you need more space and also offers a group account for teams of people that are working on a project/task that may need to search, store and collect information in a single location.

We had to deduct from the grade because of the number and frequency of pages not opening but this can be a fun application to use to collect some ideas with friends and colleges with some of your ‘lighter tasks and activities’.
