Unlimited Online Meetings & Webinars- video, polls, recording & more – invite 200 attendees

Broadcast your webcam, share screen, create polls & surveys, record sessions & so much more with up to 200 attendees using – AnyMeeting

Everything you need to conduct an online meeting of Any Size (well ok, up-to to 200). That is right, a full-service comprehensive Free Online Meeting Service for your Large or Small meetings. You can utilize the app to host a large webinar or a small collaborative online meeting session.  Send meeting invitations directly from the application or copy and paste the information and send using your own email system. Create customized registration forms by simply entering the emails of your participants, and they will receive a link to join your online meeting, along with time, date and any instructions. For your online session, you can share your screen, broadcast your webcam, select desired audio options (conference call or computer microphone), record your meeting and share with others later.  The application also integrates features to collect information during your online session by conducting surveys and polls and allows for online chat or a Q&A style format. Attendees also have quick access to “how are you feeling messages” that are only viewable to the presenter(s) and include such statements as ‘I have a question, moving too fast/slow’, etc.  Set to receive notifications when attendees join the session or even lock the session to prevent attendees from joining after a certain period of time.

Once you have completed your online session, utilize some of the built-in app features to follow-up with Attendees.  Create custom surveys or tests to be sent out at the end of the session. Review your online meeting reports that provide who attended, review of the text chat log, results of polls and surveys and more.  You can also select to send attendees a link to the session recording or to kindly thank them for attending.  The app also allows for you to easily promote your sessions through other social media by connecting through Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn profiles. You can also create and customize your own AnyMeeting ‘Public Profile’.

Summary Review and Grade

  • Free Registration – both Host & Attendee
  • No Downloads Required
  • Installation – Only for Screen-sharing Host  – Nothing for Attendees
  • Works on All Web-browsers
  • No Technical Experience Necessary
  • Works Cross-platform – on all computer platforms – (Linux, Macs, Windows) for Attendees (limited issues as Host- see below for more details)
  • Unlimited Number of Meetings & as Many as 200 Attendees
  • Lots of Features that are Customizable
  • Ad-supported (only displays on Attendees screen- see below for more details)

One of the best features about this app is that there is nothing to download for the attendees, they simply receive a link and click. The hosting platform also works around most firewalls so attendees should be able to quickly and effortlessly join your session. Presenters will be prompted to install a FREE plug-in for screen sharing and this will allow for selecting certain information to display while hiding other running apps from your attendees (PC users only). The application works on all Operating Systems for ATTENDEES but will only work properly ‘as is’ for Presenters with Mac and Windows (experienced Linux users can get around some of the issues by accessing and installing additional applications).  This is a Ad Supported service and they promise to be FREE FOREVER. The presenter does not see any ads but attendees will have a small banner ad to the side of the screen. There are NO hidden fees and any third party ad supporters DO NOT receive information about your meetings or attendees. Although some may not like the idea of the displayed ads, they are fairly minimal and it is nice that if an attendee clicked on an ad during the session and then closed the ad window, they would not accidentally close the session as any ad opens in a separate window.

We had to deduct a little in the grade because not fully-compatible with all OS for all users ‘types’ and because of the screen-sharing install and the display of ads for attendees.  BUT this really is a comprehensive online meeting app with so many features and with the ability to handle so many attendees, it would be very difficult to find a free non-ad supported service that even comes close.

A free online Whiteboard collaboration app with additional features.  You can freehand draw, add text, or use many of the available tools to make your drawings more precise.  Make your board private or set for public view and access. You can also utilize the “voice and video chat” feature with a single click of your mouse.  This application allows you to easily draw diagrams because it actually begins to detect most shapes with just a couple of strokes.  Click anywhere and start typing, if you need to modify an object, all of your tools are displayed next to the selected object. No more shifting back and forth from a toolbar, all your tools and icons are right there with a simple click.  You also have access to a ‘library’ of other drawings, either from your earlier sessions or from other Dabbleboard creators.  Just ‘drag-and-drop’ drawings from your personal library of from the public library – this is particularly useful if you tend to use the same designs, symbols, etc for various projects/discussions. Whiteboard – File Options & VoIP Conferencing

Online Collaborations – using Scriblink

A free digital whiteboard that users can share online in real-time. Similar to using a pen and paper but utilizing the web to be able to access and share at anytime from anywhere. The homepage immediately opens to the main whiteboard. This is a nice application for your next collaborative project, for brainstorming, layout planning, concept diagramming, tutoring students/friends, or just having fun!

Review of Scriblink Features:

  • Privacy: the board is all yours, open only to the people you choose to invite
  • Dynamic Tools: use shapes, hundreds of colors, a size bar, a text feature, and a grid to help guide your drawings
  • File Options: gives you the ability to print, save, and email your work
  • Image Uploader: upload an image onto the whiteboard as the background, allowing you to share it, mark it, deface it, or highlight key elements
  • In-Screen Chat: when working with others, no need to sign in to third party software, simply use our in-screen chat
  • VoIP Conferencing: if you have a mic for your computer, you can automatically connect with your collaborators (no software necessary) and talk for free for as long as you like
  • File transfer: when emailing is too much of a hassle, simply transfer files directly to others while using the application

Summary Review and Grade

  • No Registration Required
  • No Downloads
  • No Installation Required
  • Works on All Web-browsers
  • No Technical Experience Necessary
  • Works Cross-platform – on all computer platforms – (Linux, Macs, Windows)
  • Easily invite others – via email or provide a specific URL
  • Print, save or email your completed project
  • Nice for uploading and commenting on images
  • Integrates many applications (file transferring, online chat, VoIP Conferencing)
  • Basic whiteboarding features – only one page (board), no typing (only uses mouse pointer)

Although the application integrates additional features such as online chat and VoIP, it is still a very basic whiteboarding application and does not offer the option to “type text” on the board.  This however, is still a nice application to try in advance of your next project that involves members from different work locations, especially if you plan to review images, design layouts, projects specs, etc.
